Estimated $2,000-$3000 depending on where you take it.
considering you're using all used parts besides slave/master cylinders and possibly a clutch.

You will need:

clutch master cylinder
slave cylinder
5 speed transmission
manual transmission mount/bracket
shifter cables
clutch/brake pedal
shifter/ linkage etc.

You will need to reinforce the firewall where the clutch pedal goes since the autos were originally not made to have a clutch - otherwise you risk stretching/bending the firewall while the pedal is attached causing future issues.

I don't remember if you need to change any wires for the sensors- there are quite a few threads out there in regards to doing the swap and what parts you will need/ modifications that will be required. Just Google Prelude 5speed swap and it will take you to the other Prelude forums (that i'm not allowed to mention here)

And probably make enough money selling the rest of the parts to pay for the swap labor. The downside is it takes time and the space to do it. And...it's a huge amount of work.

You would think this, except no one wants to buy used auto Prelude parts. I've been trying for 7 months too get rid of my stuff...

Have you noticed our "Parts Classifieds" section? Maybe your stuff isn't being advertised descriptively enough or your asking too much.

I've sold a good amount of used prelude parts. OEM parts, especially on a vehicle that is nearing 11 years old are in pretty high demand.

Personally I'm shooting for a spring to summer 5 speed swap date. I'll be collecting parts this winter to minimize the "pocket shock". Either way with something this serious, expect to get shocked in the end regardless of how you slow play it..

Yes, I have had an ad on there for 7 months. I think it is very well documented and the prices are completely reasonable. What do you think? Lots of 5th Gen parts, swap stuff, A/T... I've also posted this on Craigslist and only got 1 crazy lowball offer on something.

Sorry to hijack this thread. I did my swap myself and it cost me less than $1500 and I got an M2B4 w/LSD, a Fidanza lightweight flywheel and an Exedy racing clutch. I converted the auto ECU to a manual so I didn't have to deal with reprogramming and to save on costs. I got a whole bunch of additional parts along the way as well as changed a bunch of seals and fixed some oil leaks. I did have to buy some special tools and an engine hoist and those are not included in my $1500.
