hi guys, i race my 98 prelude h22a4 on dirt track 3/8 mle track, its all gutted with cage and i need some help, im getting outpowered by a god dam 91 probe! i have to run 3rd gear cause second i bounce off limiter too much and my car doesnt rev past 5000 rpm? i know the lude has more power i just cant get it too rev any help would be appreciated. i have the vtec wired to toggle switch also to kick it in sooner. the probe is running 3rd gear with 205/60 15 tires, im running third gear with 195/60 14 tryin to get my rpms up but nothin, it just dogs around the track

sorry guys i should have searched more, after looking up similar post i seen that the car needs to warm up, well when i put new headgasket on and timing belt i also took the thermostat out because of advice from old time racers lettin the engine run cooler, so im putting the thermostat back in today, just one more question tho, im running 110 race gas could the knock sensor be setting off and limiting the rev limiter?
