98 honda prelude automatic shifting hard only into 3rd gear, this an inexpensive fix?

i have an automatic 1998 honda prelude that just started shifting hard into third gear, it actually "jars" as it goes into gear, it started this after a hard shift as i was accelerating, and now does it every time. all other gears shift very smooth as they should, and there is no slipping of any sort whatsoever, also note the transmission was recently rebuilt and has only about 4k miles on it. i am guessing a part of the transmission that controls the third gear shift bent, or loosened, just wondering if anyone has any knowledgeof this type of situation, and if this is an inexpensive fix, i.e. something that could be adjusted without pulling the transmission?

AFAIK, nothing on an automatic is user serviceable.

EDIT : did you fill it with ATF after it was serviced?
