i have a 98 base with the dreaded ss auto tranny, and just like everyone else have had a problem with it. i already had it rebuilt a while back but continued to research the issue. i have done alot of reading here and on other forums and know that a swap would pretty much be the best way to go to completely fix the problem. just recently i came across something that mentioned an upgrade that was done for the 99-01 transmissions and can be put on the 97-98s to fix the problem. i havent been able to find anything else on this. if it is something that anyone has heard about or as been mentioned here before and i happened to over look it please point me in the right direction. i sadly wont be keeping the lude for very long and dont want to spend the money on a swap. i have a feeling that this "upgrade" really isnt possible or more would be said on it, but again if you guys know anything about it to help me out that would be great
