98 base model cam gear timing belt help needed!! ASAP

Ok I just ordered a kit from honda to replace my timing belt, water pump, seals etc and everything was going fine until I tried to remove the bolt that holds the intake cam gear in place and all of a sudden the whole camshaft made some clicking noises and I could see the guts of the engine turning!! What on earth would make it do that? What was that noise I heard? does it mean my timing is definitely off now? The belt didn't skip any teeth the whole cam just moved. And how will I ever get that cam gear bolt loose? I did get the exhaust camshaft gear bolt loose before the back one I just really don't understand or what I should do. Any help would be very appreicated!!
