5th gen no acceleration / no power

Started the car today, backed out of driveway and put it in drive and the car had no acceleration.
Syptoms.....low idle (about 300rpm), cant rev past 1k rpm with pedal to the floor. Upon restart, with pedal to the floor will rev to 3k rpm, drop down to about 300rpm rapidly and just stay there.
This is a bone stock 134k mile car. Just had the 60k service done 5k ago (all tune up parts and timing parts replaced). Throwing an egr code only, too.
Any advice would help.

Sounds exactly like what happened to me and my SS auto, when the transmission died. I had to spend about $1500 to rebuild it.
