5th gen motor swap ponderation
Nate~ 99 prelude.bb6.h22a4
im wondering what yall think,
so i got this prelude was runnin 12-14 bewst, been all sleeved up low compression 9.0.1, but took the turbo off (cause its not a track car, and i live in san francisco, if ya know what i mean) i got another kit for it but am debating puttin it back on... i think i just wanna get a h22a from across the water and keep as close to stock as i can.
i got me a p28 chipped w/ s200, i am pondering maybe somone thinks i should put something besides a h22a in there~ or maybe if i put the h22a in i can put a lil more on the fuel injectors(was running 370's with the turbo) and spark without having any major problems or like needing a turbo to blow all that gass up. or maybe a lil more on the cams~~~~???? i dont want to just put a stock motor bak in if i can avoid it. not on a super tight budget but my thoughts are. if im ganna spend 1k on the motor, spend 600ish~ on cam s or injectors or special prayer beads~!(not being the type s cams i hear they are over rated).
i am not try'n to make a car thats hella fast, im not trying to open the motor and do a buncha springs and rods, i just want it to tug a lil more then uaual.
so my real ponderance is how much fuel can this motor handle at stock (i know the stock injectors are at 290 and u wont get any more preformance out of this motor with those injectors because honda makes these cars spit all that 290 stock~)
annnnd the place thats got the h22a says they want my h22a4 as a "core", it has about 100k on it and has been running good boost for a long time with no problems, any thoughts on me giving them my built motor?
i just want it a little faster then the rest~! im not making this posting because im dieing for information or that im un able to search all these threads for 5 hours to find answers to my questions, i am interested to see what others think about my specific situation~ yeeeeeeee
leme know what yall think prelude onliners~
