Gotta question.....How can you tell apart the 97-01 preludes by just looking at the body???? or is there even a difference in the SH and Base body?? dunno just a question i guess....

the only difference between the 97-98/99-01 is the grill in the front....newer have the prelude badge and are the honey comb type rather than the horizontal lines

doesnt the base model also have a third brake light which the Type SH does not have because of the factory mounted spoiler?

01 headlights are much darker than the others. if you look at the surrounding black peice inside its much darker than the previous years. and the colors are different from other years. and i think 97-98 have different material for the seats not sure though

The grill is the only really noticable change from year to year... base to SH differences have been mentioned, the exterior ones at least.

S and SH? open the door and look at the door panel... if you see a light there..it's an SH.. if you see no light... Base.

i got an 01 Sh and my friend has a 98 base, my turn signals blink faster than his... either cuz the 97/98 ludes have slower signals. or the base ludes have slower signals... also you can look at the shift knobs ofcourse which is an obvious one. oh yeah, the SH stock suspension is about a half inch lower.... barely noticable though.

Don't forget the third brake light in the rear decklid. SH cars don't have it because they come standard with a spoiler. I'm actually getting an SH decklid because I don't like redundancy (I have Honda optional spoiler) ...

Also, the only difference between 99-00 and 01 is the ring around the outer edge of the headlights. The 2001 is smoked, whereas 99-00 is chrome. I really want the smoked look of the 2001 ... looks like JDM ... hahaha. Anyone with 2001 want to trade for chrome?

my 97 seats are a plain color, no pattern really. I should take a pic, my new floormats don't match that good. Oh well, too good of a price to pass up.

On a side note has anyone noticed that the trunk mat accessory doesn't fit that good, it has cutouts for things that aren't there. Does it fit a newer one better?

SH models come standard with a spoiler, "star" patterned rims, leather wrapped shift knob and the SH Emblem on the back.

also, the 97 came with the option of a tan interior (possibly 98, and I've only seen it on eucalyptus green pearl)

97-98

99-01
