i got a 4th gen an wanna do a 5th gen front end conversion on it. what all would i need to do to the car? An i was also wondering if the h22a would be a better engine to do rather then a v6 out of the honda pilot? If i do decide to do the v6 can i keep my car FWD??
^ya no kidding.to the OP unless you have a lot of cash to burn and years of custom fabrication experience I wouldn't worry too much about it.you would have to fab up custom brackets to hold all of the body panels on and as far as the v6 is concerned that would just be foolish because there are no aftermarket parts for the pilot motor so instead you should just invest that money into your H22 and it will be more powerful than any pilot motor.
ok thanks about the motor info i knew the h22a was a great engine an juz wanted to hear what other people had to say.. But as far as the front end converstion goes i really wanna do it an im pretty much looking for help on how to do it.
The front would never flow with the rest of the car. I try to imagine that and all i can think of is a AMC Gremlin. I own both cars and if were to personally see such a thing i would assume you couldent afford a whole car and welded two wrecked cars togather behind bubbas trailer. I am by no means knocking your wanting to do custom fabrication the simple fact is the two just don't go togather at all.
I know you want to do it the other way around but i wanted to show a pic of how they just dont match, atleast with the 4th gen up front it kinda has the bullitt still in the shell look but with the 5th gen up front it would be all backwards. Look up Amc Gremlin and you will see what i am saying.
i understand wat ur saying but with the pic above the head an tail lights are sideways an the way i wanna do it thell be vertical witch them matching like that i personal think it will look good
The lights wouldent make up for the square front lines going to the round rear(or hips as i like to call them) but if you got skills like that then i say go for it. Def post pics of this adventure i am verry curious to see this beast you have in your head.
dont worry there will be pics lol an do u have any advice on wat im gona have to do? an dealing with the roun vs square body lines wont a body kit get that fixed?
I am not a bodykit kinda guy but i think if you got a really squared off rear bumper and one of those crazy GT wings it might add enoufgh to make it match up better, the rear hips then would just look flared for wider rims like a rwd car. Its raining here right now but later i will go measure the two front ends i think the 5th gen is longer, i know the cabin room is def bigger in the 5th gen. My kid can sit in the back of the 5th with room for the passenger to move the seat back but in the 4th the pasanger seat has to be all the way forward.
ok man thanks for the help a ton. i no very little about hondas an what i do know is civic lol an then thats mostly engine wise so people like u that will help people that dont no i have loads of respect for
My experiance with custom fabrication goes as far as installing SH courtesy lights into my base door pannels last week, so as far as professional advice goes i have none for ya just a fellow luders opinion is all i have.
OWell since I don't think this has been done before you are going to be hard pressed to find anyone to give you specific advise on what you will need to do.all I can say is that you will need to fab up some custom brackets to make the 5th gen fenders/front bumper be able to bolt up to the 4th gen body/frame.I would like to see this so by all means do it but I'm not sure you are fully aware of what is going to be involved(no offense).besides why would you want a hybrid when the 5th gen is just sexy all the way around?I mean jusy look at my amazing ride
Well if you are going to do this then I say go all out and get a 5th gen Mugen front bumper and then get the 4th gen Mugen sides, rear, and spoiler.now THAT would be completely awesome whether it is ugly or not.someone needs to do a quick photoshop of this beast.
