I'm not worried so much about the fenders but I'm worried about turning clearance. With a wheel that wide and that low of an offset I don't think it will be able to clear the front bumper or the inside fender well when making turns.

Thanks guys for the humor.. this thread made me feel better lolol. I live in Memphis and that Silver Lude would fit right in here! Though I think it looks crazy and wouldn't be caught dead in that car with those wheels and tires, I also have to admit I drove a 1971 Gremlin at one time.

Currently, I am running the RSX-S 17x7 wheels with 215/45r17 tires. Can't wait until I can lower it about 1.5 inches (I'm doing the research for the daily driver ride I want so feel free to give me hints).

To each his (or her) own I say, but I do agree with aboone78 that a Prelude should encourage class & style!

Check out rimtuck.com. Basically cars that have that "Form>Function" look to it. There's some Prelude's on there.

Dylan 19, I am running 17x9 +25 with 215-40-17 (nankang ns-1) on my 98 prelude. I had to roll/pull my fenders, and lower the car on coilovers to get the negative camber i needed. Also for my rear bumper, I had to shave the areas where the tires rubbed and also had to relocate the bumper tab. Go to preludepower.com, my car pics are on the June potm thread. it is not mexiflush at all. Do not use 225's, it will rub.

^ First guy to help me out. Nice forum, lol.

Aslee you actually have the exact wheels im looking at haha, nothing is different about them. And the same color lude too. I actually posted your car earliar as to showing what i want lol.

So you bought your grids and then had to lower to make them fit? Or were you lowered already and had to add camber and do all that.

I didnt think all that would be nessescary as your only losing 2mm on the inside and it just sticks out a bit more. Expecially with 215/40's and stock ride height and a much smaller firewall then 55s that i have now but i guess I was wrong. Which i can accept since ^ actually did it, haters.

I guess if shes not gonna go Ill do the other pair of 17x8 +35

This guy is running 17x9.75 +25 and he has no clearance issue but he had to roll fenders as you can see. He has 215/45/17 and he said his fronts won't clear so he's trying 215/40. Haven't seen an update yet.

@Dylan19 Yes, this is a nice forum and I have gotten tons of information and insight on problems I've experienced putting 175k miles on my Prelude. You got to realize some will blast you for going to the extreme on something they believe are best left to the Civic ricers. Believe me though, there is a wealth of information here and I respect their knowledge.

Glad you found someone that is or has blazed the path you are taking with your lude.
