5th gear grind

at high speeds... when shifting from 4th to 5th gear i 99% of the time get a grind.
I then tried shifting from Neutral to 5th and the problem goes away.... only occurs going from 4th to 5th at high speeds 60+mph (100KmH)

any ideas?

Get it replaced under warranty, I did, it is a common problem

Get it fixed ASAP if youre under warranty, its a hella expensive job. In the mean time you can double clutch shifting from 4th to 5th gear, it is annoying but will prevent grinding. When I got it fixed it was a huge relief to me. Hope this helps

wtf i just read some post and the fix for this is $1000+ ?!
what'll happen if I just dont fix it and leave it like that and shift under 4k into 5th so it doesnt grind?

I think all it would take to fix is a tranny rebuild with new synchros. It is expensive but if you can get a kit with all the gaskets and synchros for like the price of one synchro from Honda. The only problem is that you still have to take the tranny out and have it rebuilt.
