5sp conversion in Australia

Hi guys. I'm thinking of a 5 sp swap for my 1998 prelude vtir.

It has 140000km on the odometer. And overall the car is in very good condition. The transmission changes smoothly. No strange sounds. So it seems fine for now.

I live in australia. Anyone know a place in australia that does the swaps? Maybe one of the people from here are from Australia? and what price range am i looking at?

Lots of Australian Prelude owners @ Prelude Australia.

Where abouts exactly in Australia? I mean if you are in Darwin then a shop in Hobart wouldn't exactly be useful.

Japan didn't have the VTiR model. That is strictly outside of Japan.

It's strictly AUDM/NZDM. It's basically the base model Lude except with a different transmission.

Help me fill in the gaps, 5G Models worldwide

me probably being silly here, but does that mean the vtir one i got has a better transmission than the ones on a non-vtir auto prelude?

I couldn't possibly answer that. If the AUDM Si model has a sportshift tranny, it will suck equally.

AUDM? meaning australia?

I hope the Vtir auto model has better longer lasting transmission than the Si auto model here in Australia.
