I come to this land of (seemingly) 5 speed swap friendly posters... I am in the process of doing my 5 speed swap (which you can read about in my huge "diy" thread on prelude power:
RomPirate’s 5spd Swap Resource Thread - Preludepower.com ).
The actual swap will be done in 1 week (i got delayed a week

) but i've taken the liberty of what seems to be the most dreadful part of the swap down: mounting the clutch pedal and master cylinder. Until yesterday I missed a very important part of the swap, the mysterious spacer that goes between the bracket and the firewall... A bit short on time, i've replaced it with a temporary stack of washers (1" diameter) piled to 1/4". this combined with the bracing from above has created a very very sturdy platform for the clutch pedal. I dont see this bracket going anywhere for a very long time...
Now, the only part I really worry about is the adjustment of the master cylinder and clutch pedal... What would you recommend be the safest fool proof bet to avoid the dreaded slipping clutch? I would assume that after getting rid of the air in the line, if you would leave the rod hanging in mid air that would be the "fully engaged" point for the clutch, meaning attaching it to the pedal at that point with the pedal all the way up would be the safest bet, no?
I thank you all for your responses and thanks for helping me get this baby on on the road
