don't worry man, once you get used to driving the lude, you'll beat him... the gts isn't faster than the lude. bye the way... how long you've been driving standard?

One reason 5th gen might also be precived as slower is that unlike the 4th gen they come with auto's and SS. The 4th gen VTEC only comes with a 5spd. 4th gen is only 20lbs lighter with 2 more lbs of torque.

I've pulled from behind, after a sad launch, to beat a 5G. The other two races were just easy victories for me. Maybe I'll be impressed by a 5G next season.

In the 5th gen preludes, the SH is 88lbs heavier than the base b/c of the atts system. so is the fourth gen 20 lighter than the base and 108 lbs lighter than the SH?

Just study and learn the "LC Launch" and the outcome might be different next time do a search on it when you get a chance.

this question is a toughy.

it all boils down to

4th Gen VTEC:- Stock
5th Gen VTEC:- Stock

Equal Drivers

the 4th gen should win.

But mileage would be an issue....

What about 01 stock with 2k miles vs 93 stock with 80k ?
