30K maintenance at honda dealer: how much?

before i take my car into the dealer, what is a ballpark estimate on a 30k maintenance? i'm like 50 miles away from 30k and i've got probs w/ my brakes/brake light too. i'm wondering if this is covered in my warranty ... but anyhow...how much were y'all's 30k maintenance...if you did it?

you guys actually went in for these?

what do they do? change the oil, air filter and adjust the valves?

I got a copy of what they do at each interval----I swear 80 percent of it are visual checks.

what do they do if you have an AEM CAI? nothing? so then it's just changing the oil an adjusting the valves? what else do they actually do other than look at things? how much would it cost just to get the valves adjusted an what are the benefits?

yeah, I just did mine and was charged 215$ for it. There was another dealer that wanted 375$ and I told him I'll think about it. The only difference between those prices was they would check my EGR system, and since I don't feel any knocking, I went with the 215$.

after my 30K, they advised me to have my fuel injection system flushed. I laughed

yeah, it's basic fluid flushes, and lubing of hinges. But hey, I feel better doing it, then not

those service intervels are a joke for what they charge. If you actually read the long list, it mainly costs of

1. oil and filter change
2. air filter change
3. inspection of brakes
4. inspection of hoses, clamps
5. inspection of joints, suspension
6. top off all fluids

And then they charge you like 200-400 dollars.

So you basically getting a very expensive oil change.

*Inspect wiper blades, belts, hoses, fuel lines, and exhaust system.
*Inspect steering system and suspension mounts.
*Inspect and rotate tires
*Inspect front and rear brake assemblies
*Check valve clearance, clutch cable, free play and parking brake
*Check/adjust fluid levels
*Road Test <--- A.K.A. drive my car around and treat it badly

what about 65,000 miles??? don't you have to get a tune up then?? i'm at 64,300 miles. I went to my local honda dealer told me for a tune up would be $600 for timing belt water pump and some other stuff. I said HELL NO and walked out. I got to shop around to find out some prices.
