2001 prelude auto trans problem

I understand the auto trans is a ticking time bomb on the fifth Gen preludes but I really need to fix mine since I just started driving and new to the roads and I reallying dont wanna deal with manual right now. Well I bought the car like this and I noticed when it shifts into 2nd gear it seems to slip? But it only does it at certain times, not every time it shifts into 2nd. Fast or slow doesn't matter, engine cold or warmed up doesn't matter.what's wrong with it?

Sell it and buy a different vehicle since a Sissy-stick is desired.

Your current vehicle is going to be a money pit.

Do more research and a better test drive before buying your next car.

Listen to your friend Kronn, he's a really cool dude.

Taken from Zoolander quote "Listen to your friend Billy Zane, he's a really cool dude."

you answered your question. get tranny rebuilt if you want to start dumping tons of $ into it. or sell it and get a car with a tranny that doesn't have problems.

I bought a 2000 A/T a couple months ago for my son (new driver) w/ 188K hiway miles on it - all stock. CEL came on and threw codes P0700 and P0740 (probably not the first time and was reset by owner before I bought it). Trans was working fine, no slips, drips, hard shifts, nothing. Trans fluid had over 50K on it according to previous owner (probably more) so I decided to change it after reading owner's manual recommendation. Drained the fluid and turned out some idiot put over 4 qts. in there! I put in the required 2.6 qts. of Castrol High Mileage and it shifts great, no CEL so hopefully I'll be one of the lucky ones.
