2000 SH Brake Suggestions

I have a 2000 Honda Prelude SH. I am in the middle of building a motor with a lot of power. I have already upgraded suspension heavily. The only thing im not entirely sure about is my wheel and mostly brake package.

I am looking for any information or suggestions that will help. I eventually want to widen my wheel wells (more then I already have) and I will need a wide set of wheels to go with it. I dont knowo too much a about wheel patterns or what will work with my car.

I looking for the best parts i can find and any info would help greatly. Money is no object. Let me know what you have done. Post pics if you can.

Thanks

If money isn't an object then popping on a full Brembo kit is probably the way to go.

I wouldn't really consider it an SH anymore if it's getting fully built lol.

as stated above - brembo brake kit. But look more into what tires you use than the brakes since a good brake setup is only as good as the tires on the ground....

use the search bar and check out other setups, don't wait for others to do the work for you.

What does building a motor have anything to do with it being an SH or not?

I suppose the ATTS is the largest difference, so if he removed that then I guess I get it. There is some interior parts and different suspension components on the front though.

atts will stop working at a power level. so if he's built his motor past atts capabilities its just a paper weight.

if you find a set of nsx calipers and rotors that would be good. the barkes on the prelude are already pretty good as long as you have good tires and pads....the nsx caliper disperses heat better which helps with breaking during high loads or towards the end of track runs, and it bolts right up to the 5th gens. i just dont see paying that much for brembo. dont go any bigger than 17's. looks sick with 8 er 9 wide to grips like a dream.

There are more big brake kit options besides Brembos - i believe even Wildwood may make a set for our cars...

You can get away with stock size rotors and upgraded pads... there really isn't a need for a big brake kit unless you're doing it for show or are involved in alot of road racing.

Try searching for a site that sells them and maybe we can tell you if any has experience with that site. We're not going to do all your homework for you
