2000 Prelude Cooling Fans wont come on and temp gauge reads hot

I recently bought a 2000 prelude with 109k on it. It's an auto with an H22a4 in it. I noticed that both of the cooling fans were not coming on but the temp gauge was not reading hot. So I first changed the temperature sending unit. After I changed the sending unit the temp gauge ran hot. So after replacing the relay and checking the fuses, I tripped the radiator fan control switch and got both fans to run constantly while the car was on. When driving the temp gauge was going all the way to hot in less than 2 minutes. So the car is still running hot even with both fans running. I am thinking it is either the thermostat, the engine coolant temp switch or possibly another relay that I saw in the helms manual for the AC fan. Can anyone help me out with this??? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thermostat or fan switch. Both are cheap and easy to replace. I say change 'em both out.

Check the fan switch and the wiring all around.

Ok so i got the new thermostat in and I am still having the same issues. The fans are not cutting on and the gauge reads hot. I am thinking it has to be the engine coolant temp sensor. I am buying that today and installing it to see if it changes anything. If anyone thinks of anything else it could be Please let me know.

Thanks

Turn on the AC. Both radiator fans should come on with it, and if you are still overheating with both fans running the radiator is probably clogged or low on coolant. If the fans don't come on with the AC, then the fans/wiring is bad.
