1st Post - Good Morning Everyone

I recently bought a 97' Prelude for my daughter, I need to change the fuel injectors, does anyone have a link to a step by step procedure for this. I could use some help.

Thanks,
Randy C.

1. disconnect your battery
2. pull off the plastic cover w/ the wires running to the fuel injectors
3. disconnect fuel lines from the fuel rail
4. remove retainer nuts on fuel rail
5. remove fuel rail/injectors

PS. - this will get messy, have rags handy

hey welcome to PO! i'm glad you decided to pick up a prelude for your daughter, maybe she should join as well or she's not into the car stuff?

You should get a helms manual, it'll help you on a lot of your maintenance. It's a bit pricey for the printed version but lets just say there are cheap, like free cheap, alternatives you can find if you look around the google.

Why do you have to change the fuel injectors? I've never heard of them going bad.

Generally when they go bad, only one will go bad. And yes, they rarely go bad.
