I searched and found nothing on this specifically. The car has 138,000 mile and is essentially sold but the last thing to do is to get it smogged in CA to get registration. The new owner doesn't care about the light and about a year ago I actually had the original ATTS unit replaced with a remanufactured one. My guess is the guy who did the install might have jacked up some of the sensors during the install.

Funny thing is car did pass smog a year ago even after he did the work and the light was on and off (intermittant). ...and yes I should have went back but I bought a new car and just stored this one...

Otherwise the car runs great and from an emission standpoint should not have any trouble passing.

I passed with my ATTS light being on. As long as the check engine light is off, you should be good to go. The ATTS has nothing to do with emissions so the technician will ignore it.

Rodmunch thanks! That's what I thought and it makes sense. If the ATTS is not related to the way the car runs it should not matter.
