1997 Lude for $1300.

Im lokking at buying a 1997 prelude that needs a timing belt and a valve job. The body is pristine! i was looking for some opinions on this deal. Thanks!

If that's all that's wrong with it, jump on it.

1300?

Thats extremely cheap, even for needing that work. Id be extra careful in looking it over.

That's hella cheap. Make sure the person selling it seems trustworthy; it's such a good deal I'm suspect of it.

Usually, if it's too good to be true, then it's just too good to be true. Follow your instinct.

I'd consider selling mine for that much . . . but it needs a new engine, plus at least 2 grand in body work.

Well i am going to look at it on Monday. I'll post what happens. Oh another question, where would be the best place to find valves?

internet. If your lookin for stock, just look on ebay, but if your lookin for cusom valves(specially made swirl-polished), you might try a high-perf store. Maybe edelbrock??
If all else fails, try the last resort...the dealership!!!

At that price i would forget about getting new valves. I would just drop in a euro r and call it a day. Just make sure there isn't any serious frame/interior/exterior body damage
