1997-2001 Honda Prelude EDM factory parts, options and specs

EDM - European Domestic Market or Genuine OEM Honda Parts from Europe.

Here are some photos taken from a 1997 Honda Prelude Italian sales brochure.

Notice the 4 bolt pattern?

Brochures from UK, France, Germany, Scandinavian countries etc. all slightly vary in specs. I will post other countries in the future.

Can you possibly find a Helms manual for a RHD Prelude? I still need to figure out some of the wiring for mine.

4 bolt pattern wheels are on the lower HP cars, IIRC there were some motors making about 140hp. I'm not sure if they were the H23 or a SOHC 2.2 but they were not VTEC motors and were a true base model. They had them in Japan as well.

5th gen courtesy/door lights. The Differences.

Very rare - EDM red version court. lights.

Very common - USDM, EDM, JDM clear court. lights. Can be seen on SH ludes in USA.
In Europe these were even more common.

Most common - without lights. This is what most people have.

----------------------------------------------------------------

5th gen EDM "Honda" emblem. True EDM spec.

In the UK we use the USDM service manual, its pretty much the only resource we have. There may be a Haynes (I assume our eqivalent of your Helms?) but its meant to be guff.

The 4 stud for the 5th is only on the 2.0L, all UKDM 2.2 VTI's have 5 stud.

^ nah, the emblems don't change between lhd and rhd.

That rear "Honda" emblem is always on the left side of the trunk on European vehicles. UK, France, Italy, Spain, Germany etc, all have that emblem on the left side.

Some countries in Europe don't even have that emblem and also don't have VTi emblem either.
