100W bulbs dangerous??

I'm just curious if 100W H1 bulbs dangerous to the housing(both low beam and high beam). Would they burn out the housing?

YES - Extremely!!!!

You run a serious risk of melting the housing and damaging the wiring as well. You can get 55 watt bulbs with an equivalent output of 100 watts. I run 55 watt Super 30 Osram bulbs in low beam and they are very nice.

YEAH.. don't do it! I once used PIAA 85W H3Cs for my JDM fogs and (luckily) nothing happened. but I've heard of many people damaging their housings and wiring by doing this

I used 100 watt bulbs in my 5th gen.. then one day.. one bulb exploded and left glass fragments in my headlight. Never do it!
