10 K (CAD) enough for 2001?

Is 10 K (CAD) enough to get a 2001? This is my budget. If not, can anyone recommend a sleek car I can find for 10 K

I got my 2001 SE (leather), In quebec last year for a little over 8k, had 140 000km on it.

I'm sure you can get a nice clean 2001 now for around 7000$. The other 3k u can spend to mod it up like you wish

Drop that ****, do any body work, fix any problem and wtv's left save for those unexpected repairs.

Yes. According to the conversion chart you have $10,136.20 US. That's more than enough to find a decent Lude.

Check the site already listed as well as craigslist: calgary classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events (or one thats closer to you) and Find or Sell Used Cars on Yahoo! Autos - Yahoo! Autos .

You need to look around a bit as were not going to do the work for you sorry to say. Just know to get a 5 spd and not an auto. If you can't drive a 5spd look for another car plain and simple. If ya come up with more money I'll sell ya my Lude.

Good news. How many inches could I drop one of these and safely drive it during winter.

Thats your preference. Do some searching on the sites and the net in general. Find what works for you. Were not just going to lay everything out there and build the car for you too. Come on now.

The only 2 things I am really interested in are tint and drop. So I thought it would be a harmless question in passing.

Depends on how much snow you get on average - as well as if you have good snow tires or not.

get adjustable coilovers if you're going to winter drive it.

you just jack it back up to stock (which isnt very high for our sometimes very intense winters) first snowfall and drop it again when all that's done.

They're only slightly more expensive and SOOO much more practical for what you're going to do with it.

@10Klooking and surely you know the example finds given here are just that - examples. It all depends on the condition of the car, what if any mods, etc. If you take a look at some of the member rides, you could quickly tell that 10k wouldn't even touch some.

Good luck with your search.

i would say that the majority of them would be highly modded to ask for more than 10k. got mine stock and mint (minus the hole in the floor mat from heels lol) and if hes looking to get a lightly modded to stock lude he prolly shouldnt pay more than 7, i dont care how clean it is theres always something to drive that price down lol, unless its been a garage baby, hasnt seen snow, low on the miles yada yada.

i will agree that it is hard to find a clean one at a resonable price though without having to drive a few hours to pick it up or to have it shipped. i got lucky but was dedicated lol 4 weeks of non-stop searching and a virgin, one owner popped up on cl. an hr away.
