Well, I'm not too sure on this, But who cares! just swap those out for good aftermarket headers and cat-back exhaust system. there...no more problem!

I would believe it.
My friend and I have the same year cars. The sounds from our mufflers or whatever it is, maybe engine, sounds completely different. His makes more a fart sound(louder) and mine sounds a little more quiet.

Why is that? Could it really be muffler/header problems?

I can't beleive this topic exists. PreludeBrad this has got to be a myth your friend is looking to start up.

Tell your buddy that Honda built his car special for him. He's the only one with the highly sought after loud 'mouse fart' muffler.

At first I thought it was all paranoia, but two of my other friends said the same about our cars. Both are all stock. "mouse fart?" haha..No.

Well if your car is a 2001 then wouldn't it be messed up too
