Tail of the Dragon 2007

Alright so for those of you who dont know, the Tail of the Dragon is an 11 mile 318 turn, mountain road in Deals Gap, NC. The S2000's are having their annual "Wake the Dragon" event April 13th-15th which is one of the largest S2000 meets on the US East coast. Last year there were over 200 S2000's, around 10 NSX's, and about 10 Preludes. The S2000 group is one of the most well mannered, safest groups to cruise with; not to mention fellow Honda enthusists. I am myself planning on going the same weekend and renting a cabin at Fontana Village Resort which is just a minute from the "Hell Bender" which leads to the Dragon. If anyone else is interested in going, I will gladly contact the "Wake the Dragon" organizer Raul Alvarez (airgate) from S2KI to ask if they object our participation- which they didn't last year. I'm in Virginia Beach, VA about 9 hours from Deals Gap and the trip is WELL WORTH THE DRIVE. Post up if you are interested in going.

Some pics from last year

be really careful going in march, the road isn't 'seasoned' for the year yet.

the campground is closed until may....

I won't go unless it's warm, don't want to hit a patch of ice and screw things up

team interlude is going later this month I think....

http://teaminterlude.com/eventview.asp?ID=404

I may consider going.....if the weather is nice

IS ANYONE GOING FROM HERE?!?!?!

I'm going. The people from GA are pretty cool and stuff if anyone wants to go. We are camping (the weather should be great!) in the middle of the gap. There is a thread over on preludepower about it for more info.
