Aight Preluders and SCPM followers here’s the BREAKING NEWS that I wanted to share with yall.

What does BIG MIKE, HONDA TUNING, & BISIMOTO ENGINEERING equal to?!?! .... SCPM 4 !!

Today I was chatting with a good buddy of mine who lives in Cali and owns a Prelude that used to be Purple but has recently revamped his it and painted it Green.

This Good Buddy of mine, who we’ll call Big Mike, is joining in on the Planning and Resurrection of the SCPM event.

I presented two things to Big Mike and asked him for one favor. I exampled to him the history of the SCPM event and how it continued to grow year by year. Although it’s been 5 years since the last SCPM was held, I told him that I recently stirred the pot alil and we’ve had Great response from the Houston Prelude Community to bring back the SCPM. After hearing about the history of this event and the level of response we’ve received on it, Big Mike himself was Excited about it!
So, I asked Big Mike if he would consider coming out to SCPM IF we were able raise enough money for his Travel expenses. Mike said Screw flying, he’s gonna try to bring out the Green Prelude!!!

That’s Right Folks!! Not only is Big Mike going to assist in Part of the planning of SCPM he’s also going to try to bring out the Green Prelude !!

I also asked Mike if he would be one of the Judges in the SCPM4 Car Show. He immediately said yes and he is Honored that we asked.

Damn this is a long post… but it doesn’t end here. On to the Favor I asked of him.

Through the several Builds Mike has done of the years, he’s become Really good friends with the folks and Editors over at Honda Tuning Magazine. I told Mike that over the years of buying the Honda Tuning Magazine, I’ve noticed that Honda Tuning always does coverage on Civic events, Accord events, Integra events, S2K events etc, etc; but I have Never seen a Prelude event covered. I told Mike that if this event is Large enough, if he could ask the folks over and Honda Tuning to come out and Cover SCPM4.
Now before we go any further with this story, you have to understand the Magnitude of the favor I asked of him. Bike Mike, along with Aries and a small number of other luders, have helped pave the way for future luders to come. They give us inspiration, new ideas, & Hope that the prelude will never die or get lost in the every day shuffle known as Civics, Accords, Integra’s, etc etc. Now for Mike to stick his Neck out for us and SCPM, means that we By No Means can let him down, or the prelude Community Nationwide. If this is the First Prelude event that Honda Tuning Magazine will be covering, we have to do it BIG and we have to do it RIGHT!! No BullSh*t, No Cheap Sh*T…. just full on HardcoreSh*t that will get this show recognized. This WILL be the show that everyone looks forward to every year.

So That’s how Big Mike will help in the Planning of SCPM. We Build it…. And he’ll do his part to get them (Honda Tuning) to come. THIS is where WE step up BIG. If Mike is gonna to do his part, we have to do our part.

Still a long ass post… But the News doesn’t stop there!!! How could this get any Better you ask?!??!

Well, as some of you (hopefully ALL of you) have been following along with Big Mike’s recent progress and rebuild of his Prelude, Mike is Heavily sponsored by BISIMOTO Engineering. Mike loves this SCPM4 idea so much that he’s even going to ask the folks over at BISI to come out to Houston for this kickass event. He’s even going to see if BISI himself will tag along AND bring his F-powered race car to join in on the festivities.

Aight quick recap and summary of this now Long Beast of a Post….

- SCPM4 to happen sometime mid next year.
- Big Mike to present SCPM4 Proposal to the HEAD EDITOR of Honda Tuning Magazine on our behalf for Magazine Show Coverage.
- Big Mike to visit SCPM as Guest of Honor.
- Big Mike very possibly to bring out his Green 4thgen Prelude to SCPM4.
- Big Mike to proudly serve as a Judge at the SCPM4 Prelude Car Show.
- Big Mike to ask BISIMOTO Engineering to be a Sponsor of SCPM4 & join in on the festivities.

One thing that is consistent in the list above, Big Mike is sticking out his neck and doing a Lot for us. So if he’s doing his part, we have to do ours. Again… I can not stress how big of an undertaking this is. This CAN NOT be your run of the mill lil BS show folks. A Lot of Proper planning has to go into this. Mike said he will need solid dates and shop participation lists just to present it in a Formal Fashion. Remember, this is the Best selling Honda Enthusiast Magazine around…. No BS!!!

We need to:
- Confirm Dates & City.
- CREATE PROPOSAL For Mike to present to Honda Tuning Magazine. (This part is VERY Important & has to be done Right... We are pretty much making a Sales Pitch to Honda Tuning for SCPM4).
- CREATE A WEBISTE WITH ALL THE INFO.
- Contact various Shops: Aftermarket, Audio, & Clothing/Apparel (ask for give-a-ways & to use their logos for Shirts & Banners).
- Contact Race track, ¼ Mile and/or Road Race.
- Contact location for Dyno Runs.
- Contact location to Host the SCPM 4 Car Show.
- Contact Trophy companies for pricing.
- Contact Banner Companies.
- Contact DJ’s.
- Contact Honda Dealership/s to participate.
- Contact Vendor’s (ie Red Bull, Monster, etc ,etc).
- Eateries: reserve Banquet Room or inform them that a Large party will be Dinning-in.
- Marriott Hotel hook-up is possibly covered for out of town quests.
- List of things for ppl to do while we’re not running around in our ludes (ie Night Life, Hang out Spots, list of local Starbucks haha)


Your job for now is to jump on EVERY FORUM you can and Spread the word, BUT PLEASE do it Tastefully. If anything just drop alil bug in their ear and refer them to this Site/Thread for now until we get the site up. Remember that so far NOTHING is set in stone, so please make sure to mention that Honda Tuning MIGHT be covering SCPM4 & that BISIMOTO Eng. MIGHT be attending and Big Mike MIGHT bring his Green Prelude.

I’m sure there is more that I have not covered, but again… its our job to make sure this event goes right and without a hitch.
