East Coast / Southeast -- August 5-7th

Southeast/East Coast August Meet
August 5-7th
Deal’s Gap, North Carolina

As some of you know, this meet has been in the planning stages for a few months now. After getting the details nailed down we’re now announcing things. Also due to the low turnout for NPM, we did not want to announce this too early and jeopardize that event. However, we’re now at the point that we have to announce this one in order to give people a few weeks to make reservations for lodging or we’ll loose our pricing/block of cabins if we don’t get them filled by June 1st.

Let me state that in no way is this a replacement for NPM. This is just a smaller scale meet for the east coast people later in the year, before school starts up and aimed at the people that have no intentions of attending NPM this year.

Little bit of background…. Chad (Vapor) and I discussed our two groups (MDPC and OHPOC) getting together to do something after NPM. He mentioned Tail of the Dragon to me and after hearing about this from others, and then looking at the map of the road, it seemed like something we’d all enjoy doing as a group. I relocated to Georgia… and so now it’s no longer just meant for our two clubs but for anyone wishing to attend.

We had a small group of people from the Prelude Communities come up with the name… and ended up with two because we liked them both. Silly names… for a low key fun weekend.

Information is listed here:
http://www.rotortoaster.com or http://www.preludecoaster.com

We’re looking forward to just a few days together at the end of the summer for those of us that are not going to NPM….

We still want to encourage everyone to go to NPM though… that’s the primary meet of the year and it’s something everyone should experience at least once. This smaller scale meet is nothing more than spending time with friends and driving some crazy roads… no track, no drag racing… no car shows… nothing like that. Just friends + cars =)

Consider it Lude Fest East…. But we wanted the name to be original. Look forward to seeing whoever wants to come…

On a more serious note, Deal's Gap is a crazy stretch of road, should be a blast... here's some links to help out.

hey guys just a note... about that radar map....

these roads are nothing to play on... we really won't want people playing the fool and getting themselves or others hurt because they start speeding.... so while it's a good "map" as far as showing the roads, lets NOT use it as a tool to avoid the police ok??

bump =)

Just a reminder that this is coming up in 26 days!!!!
If you've emailed us using the form lately I apologize... I was on vacation and havent had time to check that account yet and get the site updated. Right now we have about 40 people signed up to go!

For those of you that didn't make it to NPM on the east coast, this would be a great time to get out to see everyone!

My SS had no problems at all keeping up with anyone... in fact, I honked at someone to get them out of my way at one point =)

I don't care what they all say. An SS ain't too bad if you don't know how to drive stick.

I use to have an SS an it was still fun, just not as fast, but in the Dragon, it wouldn't matter
