wins during the weekend - Honda Prelude Forum

for these 2 past weekends i had a chance to visit the street races in seattle/kent. id like to post what i raced and won against. keep in mind i have poor compression and burn alot of oil. (2 qts in 700 miles. some racing)

dc4 acura integra ls with built head. 2 cars
90s mazda miata. 3-4 cars
mostly stock integra ls. 5-6 cars
new chevy cobalt lt. 2-3 cars
240sx. dont know trim. was 4 lug. 2 cars. (i had bad traction)
early 2000s chrysler sebring. destruction

comments?

hey gammet, how does the lude compare to the tsx acceleration wise? you know, just in case i stumble into a faceoff

Ill smoke you in my healthy Lude foo! ha Try racing a: RX8, a DOHC VTEC Integra, an older GT Mustang, a healthy Sentra Ser Spec V, or a Tiburon Gt V6. Then you might have some decent competition.

You mean to tell me the prelude is on top of the food chain up there?

Now are these legal races? If it's not, I can see why, you would only pick who you want to race against because you know.

If it's at a track, well you don't have much choice.

Does the SER spec V really show some competition to preludes? I know a guy with one (only exhaust system) and he has been wanting to race my prelude. Would he really stand a chance? BTW I have type s motor and tranny, injen cold air, headers, exhaust.

the older spec v's were just a bit slower in the 1/4 mile and the new ugly body style is a tad faster than the lude 1/4 mile so either way its a drivers race.

If the spec v is an 04+ and healthy then it WILL take you off the line. But you should be able to pull one on the highway. I lose to my buddies 04 ser spec v 6 speed(CAI,pullies,exhaust,short shifter) from a dead stop but I win from any roll when I can spend the entire race in vtec. When we do race from a dead stop by the time we reach 60 he is a fender ahead of me and around 75-80 I pass him. My 3rd and 4th gear kick his ass.

nice. His has been beat on every day since he has owned it. Ive been meaning to race him but I havent seen him inawhile. Ill do a highway pull on him and see how he likes my rear tail lights

but i did pull by a fender on an ls vtec integra

na 300zx- 4 cars
2.5rs- 2-3 cars
sc300- 2-3 cars
