I'd say the Accord V-6...they all are auto, but they have torque...

You should defiantly kill da gs eclipse, as for da accord, they do have da torque but are also heavy as well. I have heard a lot of SS ludes beating v6 accords and some getting raped. so it matters how u drive ur SS. i dunno if its da best way but just take it to around 8k every gear and maybe u can win, just go race and see wat happens

ur best bet of beating the accord hands down is up to and through corners.

I probably would have more horse power than the accord and the accord I think weighs more ( correct me if I am wrong) and I have sportshift were as the accord doesn't I think

If you were stock than the Accord would probobly win but w/ your mods I think you have the nose. As for the Eclispe I would assume that you would kill em.

Don't know if this helps much

My girl has the Accord V-6 and its funny she trys to humor me all the time at stop signs (knowing I'm a car nut ) and she pulls much faster at the start than me but she usually slows down before I can ever really catch up to her. I get closer but nothing on a 1/4 mile if that is your main concern.

here are my results from a dead stop:
stock lude ss vs av6 i/p : real close, ss lude might pull 1/4 of a car

ss lude w/cai vs av6 w/cai: av6 will be 1/2-1 car ahead
ss lude i/e vs av6 w/cai: ss lude has no real chance

from a roll: if u think ss ludes supposed to pull like crazy on top end of 3rd gear, think again. av6 pulls like a mofo

Well since my last replay I had left to go chill with some friends. We met up with the accord but not with the eclipse. The accord guys was scared to race me. We ended up at the light so we were gonna go at green. He got me off the line but when i hit second vtec I had 1-car on him. Then when I hit third I had 2-cars . Fourth is what decided it. I hit vtec had I was up five-four cars. After words we talked a little and then I had to go. I thought he was surely gonna have me by a car or so but ended up beating him four-five cars.

hey...you know what...

the way i see it...if they v6 guys are smart enough to shift
by themself...1 to 2 to 3 to 4...they can drop .5 sec off da
quarter mile...

we did it in my friend 240 SX auto...

anyhow...also he might have left it in D4 with basically means
you'll kick ass...if he left a D3 i would think it would be a closer race...

I am NOT doubting ur win...but if he "knew" how to race his car..
it would have been MUCH closer...

but anyhow...

it's actually a pretty close race.. but the nod does go to the accord V6 in the 1/4mile or anything shorter... the AV6 pulls pretty hard in the first 2 gears, in comparison the SSLude kinda bogs off the line....
BUT the 3rd gear in the Accord is pretty hopeless, it's really geared for gas mileage and in the 1/4 the SS lude actually starts to creep up slowly near the end.. so I could imagine it would pass the accord in a longer race(never tried myself)
(I was talking about stock btw)

on a side note, if you have an Accord V6, take the resonator out, damn the car sounds a lot meaner now(only audible with windows down) and it actually improved my times by .1 cant beat free power

in the accord, leaving it in D3 or D4 or 1 doesn't change how the car launches off the line.. they all start from 1st regardless and D3 or D4 doesn't change the way it shifts under full throttle acceleration.. just don't try to put it in 2 off the line.. hahaha I've done it before, didn't realize it wasn't D2.. it actually starts in 2nd, holy crap thats one time the V6 felt torqueless.....

manual shifting doesn't help all that much in the V6 for me, the revlimiter is really low , you can time it so that it shifts right at red, but for me, it hasn't given the results you got in the 240.. maybe another tenth.. ?

nah...basically...i said D3 because...so it would prevent da damn
car from shifting into 4th...

I have a 98 Accord V6 no mods & a '99 Prelude SS with CAI. Off the line the Accord pulls put the Prelude catches by end of 2nd or start of 3rd. Keep in mind also that the Accord is SOHC vs. DOHC on the Prelude.
