what is with rolling starts

I don't get why people race from rolling starts it proves nothing. I think racing from a stop is the only real way to street race, it shows all of what your car can do not just the higher gears.

Cause you can't always catch people at lights. Also, lots of people don't want to do stopping launches because A) your tires go bye bye (you should see my tires ) and B) Launches break stuff....and C) lots of people can't launch there cars

ya it's mostly people who know they suck at launching.

I think if u want to see which car is faster, you do rolling races b/c all u r doing is smashing the throttle and shifting gears.

If you want to see who knows their car better, then do stoplight races.

I prefer stoplight races, b/c it allows u to take out cars who might be a tad faster. It shows ur true driving skills and u can make up for being the underdog, by getting a better reaction and getting a holeshot.

Rolling starts are to our (fwd cars) advantage, it's pretty easy for rwd and awd cars to hit under 2 seconds for a 60 foot but damn near impossible for a fwd without slicks.

But he's got a BLOWER for christ sake!

launch from rest, during the day. I wanna see these punks faces.

And close the window, the wind noise is deafening. Can we get a director in here?

Your GF is no Steven Spielberg.

Me thinks you got it all wrong. I'm not gonna say which i prefer. I do both. But from a stop it's not what your car can do. It is ATLEAST 50% driver skill.
1) They driver has to know how to launch it.
2) Time that quick first shift from 1st to 2nd

Now a rolling race is all car. Thats were it's easier to compare two cars capabilities. I do that alot against other ludes to see how my baby is running. Actully 90% of my runs are against ludes.
