Well roaming the mean streets of Hampton Roads tonight I ran into a couple of eager pony cars.
Me vs. Firebird(not TA mind you)
He has some type of exhaust on there not exactly sure what type, but anywho we made eye contact at a stoplight. He revved, so I revved and when the light turned green we went at it.
He jumped out in front for a hot second but once i hit 5800rpm in second it was goodnight Mr. Firebird. He didn't even try to keep up once I hit 3rd. Needless to say he didn't wave or anything, I didn't expect him too tho, being that he had the whole handle-bar-Dale Earnhardt mustache going and all
Second up was a 94-98 Mustang Gt, I must say I wasn't aware that those things were that quick off the line, he got a good car length on me until I hit third and proceeded to walk him down and pass him at about 60-70 mph. I was impressed, never had a run-in with a stang before. He was courteous and waved...........when he caught up

Good kills man... I lost to a Stock 98 GT when I was stock (Im SS), but then again I didn't know how to drive back then either... Id like to race on off the bottle now and see how I do.
this thread is so much bs lol... i doubt any of these guys are still on the board, but there is no way a stock 5th gen is gonna walk both those cars... lol
<<don't drive an SS but i mean does the SS even matter in a race? if you just step on the gas won't it shift at the same points @ wot? i understand if you are using the SS you can choose when to shift to a certain point and in full auto it will shift according to throttle..........but when racing doesn't it all shift at a certian point????
confused since i drive a 5spd

Shifting manually in an auto doesn't change the fact that gear ratio is still remain the same.
It does go all the way up to redline though from what I've seen compare to auto mode.
You can actually hear motor screaming right before the redline in SS mode just like manual
when it reaches the redline. but I don't think it shifts any faster. Fun stuff I guess.
Anyways. When I usually go "hunting" with my lude, I come home "hunted".
