Yep, I finally got the opportunity to race a 5th gen last night... He's actually a buddy of mine, and I've ridden in his car once, but he's done quite a few things since then. His current mod list is I/H/E/Cam Gears/Pullies/V-AFC/CM Stg.III w Fidanza flywheel (which he says only weighs 7lbs!)...I think that's it, oh and a MSD Digital 6 Ignition System. He says he can rev up close to 9k or sumthin... that's crazy!! Anyways, us two, along with 3 other 4th gens (all of which I beat, due to them being auto... one had bolt-ons too) ran 'em down the highway last night. It was a sight to see! Anyways, so yeah, his car screams like a bat out of hell. We went from 60 to a little into 5th, and he had a good 3 cars on me... so see Andre? I guess my car doesn't fly huh??
I'd still like to race a stock, or closer-than-THAT-to-stock 5th gen.
EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention... after the race, I was following him on the highway, and the other 4th gens were behind me (I love Prelude trains), and I saw headlights comin up fast. It was an LT1 Fbody... Z28... have no clue what it had done, if anything at all. He ran Jason (the guy w/ the badass 5th gen), and Jason pulled probably a half car on the Z... like I said, his car RIPS it!!

I could and I will... I'll just have to figure out how to post it.
Yeparoo, he beat the ol' flying machine Andre!
No, he hasn't dyno'd it at all... his V-AFC isn't even fully tuned (professionally anyways). I think he's waiting to dyno it after he does a NA buildup... he's goin with Crower cams I believe and he said something about either getting Type-S pistons/rods or JE pistons. It's gonna be REALLY bad soon!
LUDE'Z, I'll get one but like I said ^^, I don't know how to post them. I'll figure it out though.
NXLUDE, he says when he races he shifts at right around 8400, but he could adjust it to 9k, but you're right. He needs internal mods first.

I didnt think Type-S parts were that great to mod with i was reading a build up HT was doing and they didnt like using the type-s stuff.
Its the Feb issue.
^^^ i pulled on an LT1.. but it was in a stock impala ss.. a 97 i think it was.. that cherry coke color.. friend used to have one.. 0 to 60 in i believe 7.7 seconds.. car is just that damned heavy. and it's a detuned lt1..
:edit: my bad.. 7.3 seconds they were around. but still slower than my car...
not bad josh...but i dont think he needs the MSD...that was a waste of money..since u really cant get better than the stock Ignition. All the MSD really does is make the coil change easier.
what color is the lude?

There's quite a few things that he did that I don't think he should have. He says he's thinking about nitrous after the NA buildup, so I think there might be a reason he got the MSD. The car's Red w/ really dark tint, OEM bodykit, base rims, lowered on teins.
This car is bad ass guys. I'm sure the LT1 was stock, but yeah, he def. pulled it. I was right behind them.
