Turbo Volks

So the other night i was cruzing down the 38 bored heading towards cherryhill and i spot this yellow hatch volks, so i gave it a lil gas to catch up he was sitting on some nice 17 adr's. so I did the normal thing and revved when we hit the red light, he looked over and revved back all i heard was psssh..psssh....

I launched at 3.5k's i got some decent BF Goodrich Scorchers, they hooked up nicely i got the jump on him by like 1 car than he came up at me was right at my driver side door i hit third, I was out!

I got an extremely high miled 2.3L with a ebay intake.

Just want to say how much Hondas Rule, especially the lude!

im pretty sure he means he smoked like a turbo golf or something. i guess if it was unmodded... then stock high mileage 2.3 can, but not if its upped the boost - which is what your psshhh pssssh comment makes it sound like. anyways. sounds kinda like a honda fanboy post.

It took me a while to realize that you meant it was a Volkswagen; at first I thought you were talking about Volk wheels, and then you said he had ADR wheels on it... usually the abbreviation for Volkswagen is "VW". There is almost no chance that you could take out ANY turbocharged golf with a near-stock H23. I'm throwing a huge BS flag on this one.

I DESTROYED a VW 1.8T hatch....."supposedly" was chipped, had exhaust and a BOV with my old lude

guy has been talkin **** for months and said he beat me when I never even raced him or saw his car(turned out theres another red 5th gen w/ intake and apexi n1 cat-back and he cant drive for **** cuz I raced him and crushed him...97 mine is 2000) and I finally got him at a light
it was over from the launch
this was a week before I sold my lude
GREAT timing
my lude got her revenge

Yeah, but there's a significant difference between your H22 and his H23

I had to read this a few times to fully understand it, but I'm using this again:

Sorry, I've driven my friends lightly modded 02 GTI 1.8t (the 180hp version) and it was nothing special. The throttle response is terrible, although they do have some pretty decent low end torque. The Z was probably shifting at 6k and just playing around with your friends v-dub (I used to do the same thing all the time when I had a 3000GT VR4). No need to destroy the car to prove an easy point.

Sadly, I've seen a modded 1.8 GTI completely destroy a 350z. I raced the guy once and he put about 5 cars on me by the end of third. I don't know what kind of boost he was running, but I'd be surprised if his car is still running in a year. Then again it was a VW. I'd be surprised to see a stock one running in a year too.

Yeah, a lot of those guys are bolting on the GT28RS and GT2871R turbo's and making insane amounts of power with them. I wouldnt be surprised if the one that pulled on the Z was running one of those, or maybe a T3/T4
