Looks like that 5th gen messes with the Wrong hatch for a change!

Call me a p@ssy, but I rarely mess w/ hatches or CRX's anymore ... everybody who owns one does the almost-routine B18C swap w/ a turbo kit. It's boring, very boring indeed, but it's a time-tested combo not to be messed w/.

Man, those are some bunk vidz. In that first video he just does a hardcore ricer flyby on an S2000 and waves bye at him (*****). And in the Prelude vid, I'm not even convinced that the lude was racing. I've seen how turbo B18C hatches pull on ludes (first hand anal rippage) and it's not like that. It looks like they were rolling the same speed and then he just drops the clutch at a high rpm and pulls away. Notice how the lude never passes the other car going the speed limit. I call these, extreme ricer rage vidz.

That was a super ricer fly by on that S2k...As far as the Lude, I'll watch it some more. A Turbo B18 hatch would swallow a Lude whole and spit em' out the 5" tip...We can't compare the 2 though!

Watched the Lude a little more...He wasn't even racing! Looks like he took it to 60 and backed off....Let the ricer get the ticket!!!

ya, i just saw that s2k one.. what a dork. needless to say, he would eat up a prelude thats N/A... but from a roll.. the torque of the lude would keep it beside the hatch for at least a few seconds..

The S2K vid was possibly the biggest waste of my time. Civic sees an S2K. Floors it. S2K has no idea what's going on. Person holding video camera passes out from the "extreme Gs". Wakes up, wonders where he is. Films backseat.

In the Lude vid it looks like they were pretty even, and he backed off b/c of traffic. . .if that's not it, it's kind of sketchy b/c the Lude just seems to stop in its tracks. . .

well, at the celica forum, those guys driving and filming were saying that the s2k and lude were trying. It just appears like ricer fly-by's cause they only show part of the clip. Supposedly that hatch runs high 11's to low 12's. If that is true, the s2k and lude had no chance anyway.

We need to see some vids of jrsc'ed or turboed ludes, anyone have any?

Yes, but many of those kiddies, esp the ones who dropped Type R engines in, or swapped for a turbo'd GSR can put a whooping on many of us.

What're you smoking? I'm sorry man, but there's no way a Prelude that's not extremely modified is going to hang with a car that runs high 11s for any length of time..

I don't think anyone realizes how fast that car trully is... What you're seeing, is a car mildy faster than a Viper racing an s2000 and Prelude...of course it's going to pull harder than Mary Jane Rotten Crotch on your pecker.

So true, but I still don't think either was a race...
B-series for kids unless they're boosting or built!!!

I had one chance to ride in a turbo'd GsR... I cannot begin to tell you the respect I have for a b18c. Sure you guys say "well, he was just doin the ricer fly by" or whatever, but you wouldnt believe the power of these cars. This GsR had everything you could possibly imagine beyond stock. He dynoed at about 470 at the wheels. He took me up to 140 on a road in no time at all. I knew it was going to be fast, but man.... My head flew back in my seat as that thing jerked forward. It was literally like taking off in a jet. They are crazy man! But how come we never see ludes with that kinda power? I would but I'm only 16 and I wouldnt do that to a daily driver.

Oh YES, I most definately agree with you. I won't f@ck w/ a boosting B18, or SOME built B18s (it'd have to be pretty damn built N/A for me not to mess with it), but if it's got basic bolt-ons, etc, I'll eat it up for a snack, and **** it out of my Greddy SP. I just spanked the ever living hell out of a girl in a modded GSR (perhaps it was just a badge) two days ago, on I-80 westbound, at 4:30 pm-ish. She got off the freeway in a hurry ... couldn't handle the embarassment, I guess.

**NOTE-I do NOT think I'm god of the draggers, but bolt-on-modded B18s are jokes.
