TOYOTA goes down in SHAME!

cliff notes: thats right. i schooled an 88-89 corrolla last night.

story: hehe. not really that great of a kill. but here's the story since im bored at work:

heading back to my apartment after spending an afternoon hanging out with my family... it's about 11:00 PM... and the highway is pretty dead. now im not much for street racing, but this 88-89ish debadged corrolla kept revving on me, and doing flybys. i was gonna let it go, but i was like, d*mn, for once, ima show him up.

so first time we get side by side, he looks over at me and takes off... now his car is loud as hell, so I'm thinking, MAYBE a swap? boy would that make a sleeper. anyways, he wouldnt slow down to any decent speed so we're lined up at 90 mph. im in fourth and he starts to launch off and i can hear that his car is giving its all. so i decide just to play around and i give it maybe 50% throttle and stay even with him till about 105ish, and he's looking at me with suprise like, "are you kidding me, this lude is dead even with my corrola?" that's when i gave it full throttle, put about 4 car lengths on him in less than a minute. he flashed his brights and slowed down.

oh the sweet taste of victory.

note to self: choose battles wisely. feels good to win over a slow car.

oh yeah, and as im driving off im thinking to myself, this guy prolly has a twin turbo supra sitting in his garage pumping out over 700 hp and he's just messin' with me in his beater... lol.

lol.......99% of them aren't here in tx.......cause i can only think of the jotech scion tc which puts 600 hp or something like that

but for the most part i don't even think they get 100hp to the wheels.....yes they are teh slow!

the xA and xB are slow puttin less than 100 to the wheels. The tC puts 176 to the crank. And in a little bit they will be coming out with the TRD supercahrger for the tC. Then the tC will have some nice power.

More power - that's what you wanted from us. So we took that to our team of engineers and came back with a 2.4-liter dual overhead cam (DOHC) 16-valve EFI with Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence (VVT-i) technology. This - plus a compression ration of 9.6:1 - produce 160 hp @ 5,700 rpm and a hefty 163 lb.-ft. @ 4,000 rpm.

thats from the site 173 ~ 160 same thing.....

but yeah i would like to race a scion tc straight up........never had a chance to i just want to heheeh
