Some wins and losses of the week...

Ok let's start with the good news:
1.94VTEC lude VS. 96? 525
Roll up next to this kid in a tinted out black beemer
blastin his stereo.... he looks over as I pull up next
to him.. so I throw a rev... I doubt he heard me though
considering how loud he has his stereo... but he looks
at me and then at the light and HE revs.... ok so its
on.. It's me and my GF and just him in his car. I am only
revving to about 3500rpm.. I have brand new tires and rims
and don't feel like chewing through my tires.. ANYWAY.. light
goes green.... ripped off the line NO wheel spin.. and I am
ahead by about a fender.. 1-2 shift lurch forward to about
half a car... 2-3 shift pull a car and continue to pull..
two lanes become one.. I get in front of him.. I had about
two cars on him by this time... get to the next light, bust a right
and the race is over.. woohoo
PRELUDE: 1 OTHERS:
2.94VTEC lude VS. 94SI lude
This is a race I have been wanting for awhile.. its just me in
my car.. blasting some tunes waiting at a light that leads into
an expressway.. so PERFECT for a race.. along pulls a blue/green
prelude.. I look over.. he looks over.. I'm like is it stick??
"yeah, it is" VTEC? "Nope, no vtec"..You?? "Yeah, I got VTEC"
Wanna go? OK..
SWEET... waiting for the light.. holding revs at about 4k or so
He's revving .... light goes green.. bam slip the clutch. tires
hook up again with NO spin just little chirp.. (I love my new re730's)
He pulls me by about a fender off the start.. 1-2 shift.. I pull even.. chargin down the expressway.... 2-3 shift I pull half a car.. and keep pullin 3-4 shift couple of cars... then shut it down.. slow to like 50 or so back in 3rd gear.. he pulls even gives a smile and a shrug.... Thumbs up!
PRELUDE: 2 OTHERS:
Now the bad news:
1.94VTEC VS 00 SS camaro with t-tops..
WEll there is a chicky driving with her bf in the passanger seat.. I am alone cruisin at the same spot as with the above mentioned prelude... So We get to alight.. and she's like nice wheels.. I am like yeah I just got'm yadda yadda yadda.. you wanna go??? she gives me this weird look.. her BF looks over and smirks.. I say.. Look I know I'll get whooped but how about it?? she's like ok... cool.. so we rev up.. she's revving pretty loud, I am at right around 4.5k and the light goes green I slip the clutch.. and get MILD wheelspin, did I say how much I like these tires .. SHe SMOKES her wheels so I get a decent jump on her.. maybe half a car.. but when she hooks up,
I'm shifting 1-2 she just FLYS past me... DAMN.. get to the next
light,, I just shrug.. OH well.. what can you do with only 4 cylinders
BOTH of the were like FOUR cylinders!?!?! WTF... and again she compliments me on my car..
PRELUDE: 2 OTHERS: 1

There you have it

hahah funny man good stories! I've raced a camaro SS from a roll where I got the jump, its not a pretty picture I admit! Ya I know the look, you're along side an z28 or something and you both go and he only pulls half a car on you and he puts the window down and says DAMN thats pretty quick for a v6 man, and thats when you get the big smirk and say ya too bad its only a 4 beater! keep em commin.

Good choice on tires, my friend has that on his lude. if you want to have some fun or a real close race where you need the advantage. launch at 5600RPM with a clutch slip thats almost as fast as a clutch dump. Your tires will make this cool stream of white smoke and you'll shoot out like a bat outta hell. Its awesome

Holly smoke out...

Damn 5600?? that seems really high.. but I haven't launched
the car high enough to smoke the tires as of yet.... so maybe a
5k+ launch is in order

Well at least someone appreciates my posts

Good stories, I too have yet to master the art of "launching." But you know how it goes, practice makes perfect!
