And the fact you said it felt slower then your prelude kind of made me chuckle because my friends srt-4 sure as hell felt alot faster then mine and in my prelude i ran a 14.4@98 so it wasnt that slow. I didnt know that cars that weigh less then preludes and have 230 whp over like 260 wtq felt slow?

just stating my opinion, sorry if i came off rude but its really tough to believe...
Well that was through my experiences.. Also some have said my prelude seems faster than their prelude.. And mine is basically stock.. I would say it doesnt have any REAL performance mods... But It was a highway race going over 90 mph.. How bad of a driver could u be?? And for me to get props from both drivers.. I think it's proof enough.. I drove the car (srt4) up to 100 mph when my friend brought it over, and it felt pretty much the same as my prelude plus turbo lag.. I had to really get the rpms up there from a stop.. Otherwise down low it felt like the throttle wasnt that responsive.. I know the numbers for the car are high.. But it just didnt feel like it was.. Go figure..

Also i only got to race the "modded" srt4 from a stop.. he pulled on me once i shifted to 2nd gear.... By half a car length.. Then started to pull more...

The SRT-4 is an underrated car, to say the least, in my opinion.

I have a friend who made some comments he would like me to post up so people may discuss

"The SRT-4 has almost no turbo lag. With the properly sized stock turbo you're making peak torque starting at 2,200 rpms, heading into the upper 4,000's before it evens out or drops of towards at the end of the usable rpm range.

The Vehicle is set to offer only limited boost in 1'st gear to try and control tire spin and promote traction.

If the car feels laggy, this guy must have been driving an upgraded larger turbo SRT which may have provided him with a little bit of boost lag as it spooled. although you say it was a Stock SRT, so Explain why when I am in 2'nd gear even going as low as 2,000 rpm's I can punch it and my tires loose traction if the throttle isn't responsive at low RPM's.

I love my car, I can dig a prelude too, but I don't think a stock Vs. Stock match will yield prelude on top, although theres always bad drivers so anything is possible.

I ran a low 14.2xx my Second run when I was bone stock. (this was my first time at a track, and this was my first 5 speed car, 2 weeks after i bought it) , and a girl friend of mine, ran a 13.8xx bone stock.

Theres not much more I can say, because like I said, drivers really make the difference.. the highest performance cars in the world could be driven to embarassment by low performance drivers."

Ok, thats what he wrote. I have nothing to ad, he said it all really, when he mentioned low performance drivers. They really do make the difference in any race, close or not.

But that's the thing.. I beat the crap out of it.. It WAS in the high RPM range the whole time because i drove it up to about 110.. There were no mods on the car since they had had the car for only one month, and plan on keeping it stock.. It is a bright orange srt4... I shift fast and know HOW TO DRIVE.. So there was no lagging for me anyway between gears.. I drove it like it was my prelude.. i even noticed it was only doing 60mph in second gear up until fuel cut-off.. i noticed alot of things i guess.. cant wait to drive it again though.. It was a fun car.. but i wasnt impressed..
