w0rd

Sold my Passat VR6 last month it was getting too old ('93) but I sure did like that car alot.

bought my bro's SE-R. The SE-R's in Japan run SR20DET motors, so yep you guessed it

Ive driven/raced tons and tons of Preludes (seems everybody I know has a prelude) and Ive helped most of them with their launches (*cough* LC )

You do want wheelspin, just make sure its positive wheel spin in which the car is moving out of the hole at the same time. I go from ~5000rpm give the clutch a quick pop to about halfway out, then hold the second half of the clutch for a second to feather and control wheel spin, start laying into the gas and once it grabs u want full throttle.

Just a suggestion =\

Damn it. That's one of those times I hate to be write. You'll own my ass too. That's like high 12's and low 13's with just the swap right? Good luck with that. Thanks for the advice on better launching my car. It has so much more punch than I seen to be able to handle off the line at the track anymore. I'll give that spinning a try again. Normally when I let it spin it winds up all the way to rev limiter, I shift, and it just bogs cuz it finally catches traction. We'll see though. It's worth a try.

modulate the gas pedal to control the spinning too. You gotta make sure the wheels stop spinning before you shift into 2nd or else it will bog out of the Vtec range just like you said.

Im just hoping for 13s with mysetup thats my goal (to be able to run with the Z28s, etc)

OK. It's worth a shot. I'll give it a try next month. Mid to low 14's here I come. Yeah, I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. I know with the size of my car it's not going to be the fastest car in the world. I give up about 600 lbs. to hatchbacks with the same motor. I know with my current setup it's a low 14 second car when driven by somebody who can launch it at the track well. If the JUN kit gives me half the gains they claim then I should be able to run mid 13's all-motor which I think would be cooler than low 13's or high 12's runnin boost or NOS. At least in my accord. I think it'll be a real sleeper. I had a guy come up to me and ask me a few months ago if I was runnin a T3/T4 hybrid. I looked at him all stupid for a second and then realized he thought I had a turbo and that's why I spanked his ass. He couldn't believe I had the H22A in my accord. Hahahaha.

if you want to see a b16 in a crx go watch my video of me vs the crx. The SI is a good car with a good driver. you have to luanch high to compensate for the low torque. I'm sorry none of us standard honda acura owners are "torque monsters" without some sort of supercharger or turbo.
i wanna see that video
