So, there I was... minding my own bussiness, driving around, datalogging everything, trying to clean up the few parts of my street tune that are not perfect yet; when I come across a Subaru WRX, with more stickers than paint.. I make it to a light, next to it, look over, and see a female driver, revving the engine..

So, I thought to myself "come on... theres no way I can beat this thing... if she has $1500 worth of stickers; there HAS to be something under the hood"... However; being myself; I did a full launch.. she got about 1/2 length on me, from the launch, but bogged down like she hit a brick wall; shortly before I sprayed 2nd... I tore through the remainder of 2nd; and almost all of 3rd, before letting her catch up for the next light..

So, I figured that she had some issues; and let her give it another shot.. next light turns green; she gets about 2 lengths on me, by the end of the intersection; but again, bogged down in 2nd... I again sprayed; and passed her about halfway into 2nd.... she made a U-turn behind me, and sped off in the opposite direction.

For the record- Subaru's sound funny, launching in 4wd. A short screech, followed by a burst of acceleration..

Every wrx that I see at the track, runs 13.5 or less in the 1/4; even the ones that look damn-near stock... Did I catch one that was missing a gear or something? lol

its not the greatest idea to launch hard with awd. clutch is probably slipping from that. If you're chirping on take-off with an awd, you're hurting your drivetrain big time. I'm talking about a stock car i.e. evo, sti, no mods.
