I was headed from my girlfriend's apartment on a local highway saturday night back to a friend's house for my belated birthday dinner and cake when suddenly I see this nice white RSX type S.. It was the older model ones.. He didn't see me yet because he was still merging.. He see's me and then glances over a few times.. His car was slammed, and had a tasteful kit on it from what I could see.. With a blue neon light in the mouth of the bumper.. Anyway he gets up next to me and starts flooring it and letting off repeatedly.. I watched him floor it and go ahead of me, and was thinking.. Is that all he's got???!!! So he gets next to me again. I give him the knod, and he goes.. I drop into 3rd (going 75 in a 65.. Good thing it was late because I was doing 135 when we shut down, and he was still a car length behind me and I couldn't pull anymore... He pulls up and tries to talk to me while we are on the parkway (the local highway), and we are next to each other.. He's like wtf do u have done to that thing?? I said just an intake... I was like is that a 6 speed type S?? He's like yep!! Sure is!I was like aight man... Good run!! And he tries to go again!! I let him go by himself that time.. Now I know I am gonna get some bsflags for this one. I don't care.. I won.. I just wish I had a goddamned mounted camera in my car.. Because the RSX type S don't scare me unless it's heavily modded.. Not even the 05's, and u can ask Andy (blueprelude84) why... His rear bumper was at my front bumper when we finished racing, and I had a passenger heavier than me in my car.. He had NOBODY...

I've taken a Type-S, stock for stock. It was from a roll. I thought it was a base RSX by the way I was walking him. It was also from a roll (50ish). He is a friend of mine, and we talked afterwards, and he said he didn't miss a shift.
He's done a few things to his and I've done quite a bit to mine. I wouldn't mind giving him a run again. Though...I've heard that mod for mod, the Type-S is usually the victor.

Oh it IS the victor.. those k20a's are NO joke.. I am jealous of the power it makes with simple bolt-ons and a reflash... It must have something to do with the computer.. But my lack of knowledge in that department makes me unsure... Reason i am a sponge anyway when i come on this site..

I pulled on RSX-S's all day when I got my Prelude back. Even with 18's I had I had no problems at all with them. I raced one from a deadstop, and a few on the highway. Now keep in mind that I did have the JDM H22 swap, but it had the same HP as the USDM H22, and a tad more torque. I had NO engine mods to my Prelude at all except for lightened flywheel.
I agree that the K20 is an awesome motor but I still think that the Prelude and RSX-S stock for stock is dead even.
rsx-s is a good run. I have walked them, been walked by them, and side-by-sided them. All-in-all, its a pretty good "im feeling lucky" (tm google) race partner.
if thats a reply to my stock for stock comment, im still kind of guessing, i'm racing civic type R's here not RSX-S's
totally off topic sorry guys, but nuro, dude, u rock! for reppin ludes out there n stuff and ur lude looks nice (from the rear at least) hows it like in general driving out there? p.s. sorry im jackin ur thread keith
Thank god my friend recently got another RSX-S w/ intake.
I will race him(set-up race, will be recorded in all fair condition), record it and post it VERY soon.

thanks man. ah you have no idea how much i love the prelude the sig isnt my lude. here's a lazy, very bad pic of my car, the only one with the type S spoiler on though. you kind of have to use your imagination to see how pretty she really is
driving a lude here is def. different than driving it in the US. its a fairly large car here, kind of feels like driving a 7 series or S class on US roads. also, no one knows what the hell it is; which will make it all the more fun when i start ripping on people when the turbo is in.
back to the topic,
so a good friend of mine has a civic type R i/jr header/e and he raced my brothers integra type R/i/smsp header+catback on a freeway roll. now i know the integra is quicker than me with equal drivers; but the civic made it look like the integra hit the brakes on the freeway. in a quarter mile (we had them both on the strip at one point too) the difference between the integra and the civic was very little, and the integra came out a tad quicker with some weight reduction. The civic, as it is, runs 14.2's and 14.3's
