RSX-S .... not so fast?

I dunno... everyone here talks about how the RSX type s is faster than our cars, and under the right conditions, with the right driver, it might be. All i know is that i have ended up racing 3 of these on the highway, and everytime i've been able to pull on them. Maybe they were autos? Maybe they were bad drivers? I dunno. I've never had the chance to race one from a stop... might be a different story.

maybe they just didnt want to play, but everyone says its a totally differnt car with hondata reflash, i havent seen a dyno of it so cant speak for it, but i would imagine it would do some significant changes once fuel map and timing changes..

dude RSX-s is no joke I LOVE MY CAR but they're quick little bisssshes, I'm not saying stock for stock that they would just kill us but I think they are a quicker car. I raced one one time and it took me but not by THAT much. Once they start modding though, say bye bye.

with intake, exhaust, and a hondata reflash my buddy made 197whp. also another buddy of mine has a greddy kit on his type s and made 263 at 6psi. that's freakin impressive considering that the type-s greddy turbo is smaller than the 18g that goes on a lude.

Highway races arent always the best indicator of speed of these cars either, the Lude makes more torque than the RSX, so when you do a 3rd gear race, its probably not much of a contest. I have found that the Lude is faster than alot of cars from 60-100, but it gets owned by alot of cars(including the RSX-S) 0-60, take that for what you will.

Given equal drivers, and both stock..
RSX-S will beat prelude when 3rd gear comes in.

Given equal drivers, and both modded..
It'll be quite hard to take their taillight images off your heads.

who cares, I love preludes more.

we all bunch of fanboys. lol.

yea, who cares, its not all about racing, sometimes i just like to feel my car when i floor it, and we have more torque via 2.2 liter vs 2.0 liter... so at least we "feel" faster hahaha which sometimes is all i care about

fvck speed, i just care about how fun it is to vtec down the road on the way to class...

If you have I/E, you should be able to beat a stock RSX-S. I've heard from multiple sources that base RSX owners have been buying Type-S badges and putting them on their cars, so don't always assume its a type S. If it's an easy win, it may just be a base model.

Day i got my prelude i beat a RSX with type s badging. Sounded modded with what i'd guess was I/H/E and i beat it pretty well. It probably wasn't a type S, but it said it so that's what i chock the win up as

FYI...a easy distinction between the base and real; The real s has the side skirts painted while the base model does not. That how I always tell, even with the badges.

if they got exterior modification, its really hard to tell which one is which.

only way to find out is by looking at their shiftknob..
or if they even changed the shift knob.. you know what to do...

only one way left to find out. RACE.
