^We cannot flash the ECU like they can. We have to swap in an OBDI ecu, which is an automatic failure of emissions checks.
92- 95 ludes have OBD1 ecu right? I have a 93, does that mean i can have hondata,
I heard that there like 800 dollars, is that true.
Also i dont live in a city were there are emissions checks, either way my lude would prolly fail it only gets 20mpg, i clean the exhuast tip constantly from that nasty black carbon or whatever it is, and my friends say that when i punch it they have seen once in a while a little black cloud come out the back. Im thinking to get new o2 and cat to help fix this problem.

It means you wouldn't need to use an OBDI conversion harness - but you'd still need a P28 or P72 (civic or gs-r) ECU. Hondata doesn't support the Prelude ECU's.
Price depends on the options, how much you can find an ECU for, and how much tuning you get done.

the 05 RSX's have a different ECU which hondata hasnt been able to crack yet. As of recently, they are releasing an adapter harness that works with 02-04 ECU's.. which will have to be swapped into 05's. All this + a oxygen sensor = $$$$
Hopefully just a reflash will be available at some point.
nothing...just accept it and be happy that you have a beautifully designed and much classier prelude that you can fit in without your knees doing the steering.
if you want to beat these new cars sprouting up everywhere, buy a gutted eg shell and put the k20a in it. keep the lude to style in.
