Raced a Neon

Ok, first off, I'd like to say that I don't go out looking for races. I VERY rarely street race, but I had to this time.

I pulled up to the stoplight, next to this older Neon. My window was rolled down, as it was a nice night, their passenger's side window was open as well. I heard the guy in the passenger's seat say: race this guy...So, I hear the car rev up for a launch, right before the light turns green, they hit it, I take off normally, and one I hit about 3500RPMs in 1st, I nailed it. By the time I got on it, the car was already about a half car length between my front bumper and their rear. Well, by the end of 1st, I had completely caught up, threw it into 2nd, chirped the tires really well, and waved out the window as I blew by in the middle of second and continued to put distance between myself and them to the start of 3rd.

Then, I see some lights hauling ass towards me, this BAD ASS early 70s Camaro BLOWS by at about 80MPH, deafeningly loud...scared the living **** out of me.

Nice kill. Although I don't think you would have beaten the camaro IF you did race him.

Actually, I heard they respond surprisingly well to mods, especially internal ones, such as head work and what not, even the SOHC models.

The new SRT's are pretty bad though!

True, they're pretty ugly, but they look better than the other ones. I'd take one... then I'd sell it.
