Raced a '93 MR2 Turbo and '92 Talon TSI on the weekend. - Honda Prelude Forum

Hey,

First race was against my friends '93 MR2 Turbo with an intake and exhaust. Off the line I was ahead by half a car length (he said he bogged the launch, which he probably did). I used the 5-5.5k rpm launch method which I mastered. Anyways, once we shifted into second, he started to pull and by the beginning to half way through third he was only a car length ahead and we shut it down. Not bad considering I only have an intake.

Second race was against a '92 Talon TSI 4wd turbo, which I absolutely raped. It was my friend and he was talking sh!t that he could smoke me so we lined up at a stop light. Off the line I took his sorry ass by 3 car lengths or so, he must not know how to launch in that car. By the time I hit 3rd I just kept slowly pulling away, he couldn't catch up. He couldn't believe how fast I launched off the line, he was impressed.

Now I need a header and exhaust to keep up/beat the mr2, well until he buys a boost controller.

Oh, and I also met up with a 98 GTP on the expressway doing about 100km/h. I let him give it first then we went. I slowly inched up past him but he was right at my rear bumber until about 180 km/h when all of a sudden it seemed as if he slammed on the brakes (governor kicked in???)

If anyone remembers or cares, I posted a couple weeks ago that I wanted to sell my 97 prelude for a 93 mr2 turbo, well my friend bought a '93 turbo 1 week later and pissed me off, so I kept the lude, he's the one who beat me.
