Prelude vs. Accord vs. 530I (?)

Ok, so I was on the streets at night trying to test something with my friend in his Accord. Last week, I lost to 2 girls in an Accord, so I figured that the Accord probably has FI. I had no chance with that Accord and at the end of the race she just waved to me and got off the street. So tonight, I decided to get a couple of runs against my friend's V6 Accord. In the beginning, I didn't launch and just shifted at 8k RPM every time. He was on my tail the whole time. Then he told me to do a good launch, and so I did. I rev'ed to about 3k RPM and did the LC Launch.. but hell, he was right on my rear bumper again! And both times we went up to about 80. Then he told me to try my best to beat him, cuz he was about to use his "brake torquing" technique. He explained to me what brake torq is, it's simply having ebrake on and rev'ing it so it's kinda like launching on a stick except on stick you're burning clutch and on automatic, you're burning brakes. Anyhow, we went at it and this time he pulled on me! I was thinking like... wtf..... Next thing I knew, a 5 series BMW came up to us and started rev'ing! So then I noticed that my A/C was on cuz it was really cold when I got out of the house. I turned it off and we both went at it. The Accord was about half a car behind me and the BMW was at least 2 cars by 90. We finally pulled over after that run and had a talk. The BMW drove by and asked us if we were using NOS. I told him, "Sorry to disappoint you, but it's just VTEC." He told me his BMW is a V12. Hehe. So what I don't get is.... Why does A/C eat up so much power and why is my friend's Accord so damn fast?! We both only have AEM CAI, Tanabe exhaust ( his is dualed ), and a Neuspeed front strut bar. Oh, and I was driving my SH at the time.

i'm just being honest... an accord v6 should have not taken you, just tool around with the lude and drive better man, will make a huge diff, launch at 4.5k, slip the clutch, and modulate the clutch. and shift like your life depended on it.

Ok...
Well, I didn't mention that I'm running stock tires eh? That's the only reason why I launch at 3k now, it's because I used to launch at 5k when the tires were new and all I got was tire wearing down and a lot of wheel spins. Damn it, I just don't understand how I lost to those girls!

just work on the driving. it can take a long time to get used to a car and a set-up.

as for the v6, with his aem and exhaust he should be pullling mid 15's at best.

tires do play a role, but not as much as you think.

you think you have bad tires. i ran a 14.9 with my old hybrid accord h22a4 running h rated all season 440treadwear tires.

and what's up with the bmw. v12???? you sure he was racing. who in the world revs a v12 750i bmw at a honda?
