My 5th gen vs My '01 CL Type-S
The other day, my boy wanted to see how my 'lude would fair against my CL-S. The CL-S runs high 14s stock @ around 93mph, just to throw that out there. Anyways, I decided "why not," for the hell of it. I'm not gonna make this long, so here it goes. We did a couple runs and they came out like this:
From a dig to ~ 80mph:
I was ahead by about 1/2 car. Had we gone to the top of 3rd, the CL-S would have pulled on me IMO (their 3rd gear is pretty nice).
20mph roll ~ 80mph:
Same as above.
I was actually quite suprised to see how well the 'lude performed. I know the I/E didn't do much for performance, so I'm not really saying that helped much for this race. I expected the CL-S to take me by atleast a car, however I was wrong.
Anyhow, that's my story, and I just wanted to share.
