Mid to late 80's 911 vs late 80's early Mustang GT...

and then they had me in the middle.

Coming back from NH on 495 south I had a mid to late 80's 911 following me. It looked like this car in a very nasty but somehow classy looking dark cream color

He decided to start running with a Mustang like this..

that had just pulled onto the highway and romped on it.

The two of them were going pretty good when I decided to get in the mix and mid 60's temp and two cars that apparently run out of steam quick got their asses handed to them. I let them both catch up and actually pass me then back to 5th I go and pulled on them and passed them in probably less then a 1/8th of a mile.

The mustang got off after an exit or two and the guy in the 911 kept trying to play. I've got no idea of what kind of hp or speeds they hit but you could tell the guy was amused by how fast I pulled from him. He'd catch up, downshift and look and laugh then I'd step it and walk on him like it was nothing.

It was a lot of fun, navi says I topped out at 117 but I could've sworn I had seen the speedo in the 120's.

DISCLAIMER: This was a wide open highway that was recently paved and 4 lanes wide not including the full shoulders so dont give me crap about street racing.

The fun part was the guy driving the 911, he made a gesture that looked like he was trying to push the gas pedal even further.

I got a clamp on camera mount recently and the new clutch goes in this weekend. Once its broken in I'll do some 0-60 pulls and maybe some 0-100 pulls and post them up. I wiped a new Audi A6 on the way up too but that's boring.

289hp at the wheels, I've been thinking about going to a smaller pulley to up the boost to about 7lbs. It would/should give me ~310 at the wheels and I can get away with just pumping up my fuel pressure but the stock injectors would get maxed out. Probably better off leaving well enough alone for now. The new clutch feels amazing, cant wait to see what banging gears at redline with no slip is like.
