me vs RX-8

Yes a new RX-8. I saw one pulling out coming into my lane and it was yellow and looked pretty good. I didnt think nothing of it cause i figured it was some old guy driving it but it comes racing through traffic and gets next to me and i see 2 young/middleaged kids in it. he starts revving the poor piss out this of this brand new unbroken in engine anyways he tells me to go so i drop to 2nd from 40 and so does he and no one pulled an inch to around 64. i know short race but there was traffic. i felt bad b/c he just spend 30k? on it and couldnt beat a 93 lude

Later one that night i got raped a new one by a old style turbo teg by buslengths

Nice race! I wonder who would have started pulling if you would have kept at it.

^^ that's the disappointing part....don't know bout a full race cuz of the traffic too bad....but it is a good feeling that he couldn't pull on your 93

I concur.....RX8s are kinda ugly ::

i dont understand why they made the RX-8 slower than the 3rd gen RX-7? just like the 350z and 300zx TT, newer updated model but slower.

because you need better parts to build a faster car

better parts jack up the cost of the car

a high price is why the rx7, 300zx, and Supra died off

since there was a period of no production on these cars, i.e. they did infact die, I think it would be more fitting to call the 350z and rx8 "reintroductions" of their flagships, rather than mere "updates"

I thought this as well, until I was informed that the rx-8 was not meant to be a replacemtent for the 3rd gen rx-7. Its a 4 door car aimed at a different group then the pure sports car that was the rx-7. Supposedly if sales are good enough, the rx-7 will return, hopefully with a 3 rotor Renesis, as opposed to the 2 rotor in the rx-8.

I understand about the traffic, but 40-64? Was that like a 3 second race?

Nothing wrong with 3 sec races

As far as 3 dr vs 4 dr, both of the rear doors open suicide style... Where are you getting only 3 doors from?

Hate to go even more off topic, but are we talking about the same car?

The rx-8 has a trunk, not a hatch. All 4 doors open. Too lazy to host this pic, so chk out this link to a pic:

It's such a step down fron the FD RX-7. They're so dissapointing as far as performance goes. Good Kill either way! Make him feel bad for spending that much on a sub par performer.
