Me vs 2001 Yellow Type R

Me = Stock except jdm tranny + LSD

Him = Exhaust, headers, clutch, flywheel, intake..

I lost the race.. We went from 3rd to the top of 4th.. Since we couldnt catch a light.. His rear bumper was at my front bumper at the end of the race.. We pulled over, and talked.. He loved my car.. And said it was quicker than he expected.. He also thought I was lying about my mods.. But I showed him there was nothing done!! I love type R's.. Ok I need to mod my car!! After the swap..

^^ exactly.. I would like to see how I fair against a stock one though.. probably still get edged out.. but this guy took a while to get his rear bumper to my front bumper.. With his mods... I'm proud of my car.. I thought I was gonna get ripped

I remember having a modded ITR wipe my ass going from 287N onto 80E, I was running around 100 and he walked by me and kept going. Still love those cars just seriously dated and a huge risk to being jacked on you.

The ITR has a LSD, much lower curb weight, and equal horsepower. Drivers being equal, the ITR would win. Even with equal hp ratings the B motors don't have as much drivetrain loss as our motors.

oh and saying they have as much horsepower? GO find some dyno numbers. They're alot lower. like 150whp.

on the street w/street tires and knowing how to launch an LSD DOESN'T make THAT much of a diff.

the race is CLOSE but you should be able to edge them out stock for stock. now if the itr knows how to drive, then maybe they'll edge you out *shrug*

they're not god's savior of honda's, they're not THAT fast and they're not worth the idol'izing over.

the POINT is, LUDES trap HIGHER than ITRs. This means keith should have been stronger 3/4 than the integra. therefor, he should have won.

Your right about the LSD, if you can launch it won't make much difference. Did some research on honda-tech seems they make about 157-163 about the same as us.

ITR's don't have equal power to us, not with torque or horsepower. However they are significantly lighter than us ~(400lb's) and have quick ass gears compared to us.

Ludehawk, i'm not in anyway accusing you of being a liar, but I have never heard of a 5th gen running 14's stock, let alone a 14.6.

I used to have an ITR before buying my 99 Lude. I used to 1/4 mile it too, same track where I take my lude, same time of year.

Stock ITR: 14.5 @ 92
Lude I/E/17in Rims: 15.4 @ 97
Lude ^ + 55HP ZEX: 14.4 @ 100

and for the record the ITR got jacked
